Satisfactory Academic Progress

The U.S. Department of Education requires students to meet specific standards and limitations in order to receive financial aid. These requirements, referred to as Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), are designed to encourage students to advance toward a degree and graduate in a timely manner. Students meeting the SAP requirements are considered to be "in good standing" to receive financial aid.
